We are excited to share information with you about our Healthy Families of Benton County program. We are a FREE nurturing parenting program, who works with at risk teen and young parents in home based settings and groups to build healthy and positive interaction among family members.
We serve parents between the age of 12 and 24 who live in Benton County. To enroll in the program the mother must be pregnant or have a child 3 months of age or under.
We provide the following services:
• Involving the whole family, we will enable them to problem solve and help themselves
• Information and education on child development, including developmental screenings
• Instruction on nurturing, guidance, and behavior management of children
• Information on creating safe environments for children
• Nutrition information and guidance for baby and mother
• Focus on positive bonding relationships between mother and child
• Help them connect to community resources
• Family goal setting and financial planning
We look forward to providing these young mothers and their children a chance to be empowered with the tools and skills to be a good parent. We are still recruiting mothers for our program and we would appreciate your referrals. Thank you so much for your support.
