We are excited to share information with you about our Healthy Families of Benton County program. We are a FREE nurturing parenting program, who works with underserved parents in home-based settings and groups to build healthy and positive interaction among family members. Our goal is to provide knowledge, tools, and resources to help build positive & healthy families
We serve parents who live in Benton County. To enroll in the program, the mother must be pregnant or have a child 3 months or under. Families can stay in the program until the child is 3 years old.
We provide the following services:
• Information and education on child development, including developmental screenings
• Instruction on nurturing, guidance, and behavior management of children
• Information on creating safe environments for children
• Nutrition information and guidance for baby and parent
• Focus on positive bonding relationships between parent and child
• Help connecting to community resources
• Family goal setting (both short term & long term)
• Fun monthly group events
• Community of parents
• Physical resources during weekly visits (such as diapers and other essentials)
We look forward to providing young mothers, fathers, and their children a chance to be empowered with the tools and skills to be a parent. We currently have open spots for families & parents to join. Let us help fill your parenting tool box and strengthen the skills you already have!
